The world is a pretense

Here's a poem I wrote long time back.... One of my favorites.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The world is a pretense

The world is a pretense

our happiness make believe

all faith is a lie

every moment conjured up to deceive

bound in shackles we lie

governed by two faced priests

every rite is a farce

wraping the world in deceit.

spring too descends on this world

flowers covering up the grime

the truth is not for us to tell

its out for everyone to decipher and see

dark holes with blazing lights

pretty petals on the mud

a cover up for all to see.

there are gems too

sparkling bright

find them under the grime

pick one and treasure

it will sparkle for the rest of ur life

find one and its your manna

the panacea you are looking for

your life is fulfilled

your soul delivered

shinning upon you the divine light!

what is "manna"?

means divine food :)

The Biblical ref is to food which used to appear itself, just sufficient in quantity to feed the people every morning.
